“HOW TO MAKE A FORTUNE WRITING FOR FORTUNE 500 COMPANIES”
By Nelson Duffle
It was 2008 and I’d been working for 20+ years as a Vice President of Communications, a Marketing Manager, a Creative Director and a Senior Copywriter at some pretty interesting companies, large and small.
BUT I COULDN’T FIND ANY!!
Over the course of those 20+ years, I had managed $27 million dollars in marketing and communication budgets. Plenty of money, and yet there were virtually no copywriters who ever contacted me and said “hey, I’m out here and available to write for you.”
So, I wrote an e-book to help freelance copywriters understand that there are indeed projects out there waiting for them, if they know how to find them.
Click on that link and you’ll find a long-form sales letter that I carefully crafted in a style specifically designed to sell information products. It doesn’t look “corporate” or sophisticated at all, but there’s a reason for that.
There is well-defined logic behind everything you see here – the conversational language, the call to action buttons spread throughout the copy, the testimonials, the visuals, the graphics, the bullet points, and even the recorded audio interview that can be accessed by clicking on the big Post-It note on the left side.
The Post-It note, by the way, leads to a squeeze page where I capture the reader’s contact information for future marketing purposes.
The squeeze page, in turn, leads to a payment page where they can pay for the e-book with either a credit card or PayPal.
The best part – YES – I have helped quite a few freelancers become aware of the potentially lucrative work that’s out there.
AND…I’ve sold thousands of dollars of e-books in the process!
